The Purpose
Oil expellers/oil screw press machines are used to extract oil from oil-bearing seed.
The Process
The meal or the prepared seeds which are ready to be expelled are fed through the feeding end of the expeller machine which is a continuously operated machine provided with screws enclosed by cages in the extraction chamber. Here, the screw does two types of operations, where the first operation is to press the meal against the cages and separates the oil from them, and the second operation is to push the pressed meal (also called cake) forward towards the discharge end. Thereby, the oil extracted and the cake obtained are collected together are utilized for further processing and packing.
Why oil expeller? – The importance
Oil has been an important element of our society for generations and generations. They are used for consumption as well as industrial purposes. Hence to obtain that oil from the oil-bearing seeds it has to be squeezed out from them. With evolution, the method of oil extraction has faced multiple transformations with respect to the technology used. Oil Expeller is one of the recent technologies using which, the maximum oil output efficiency and continuous production are obtained without affecting the physical or chemical property of the oil. This method can be pronounced to be the most efficient method when especially considering the recent times battle regarding the insufficient agricultural support where the availability of the oilseeds is insufficient to feed our growing population which resulted in the import of oil from overseas.
